The 2023 Tour

GTYT FB Banner v2-1.jpg

We were very excited to bring a brand new fiber-filled event to East Tennessee in 2023. From August 4 - 27, "Tourists" were encouraged to hit the open roads of East Tennessee and explore 13 locally-owned yarn shops - each with its own personality, flavor, and delicious selection of yarns and crafts. Crocheters, Dyers, Felters, Knitters, Spinners, Weavers and Fiber Enthusiasts of all kinds are invited to celebrate the rich tapestry of fiber and yarn that reaches from Crossville to Greeneville and Chattanooga to Kingsport.

Participating Shops

Any new adventure starts with a bit of risk and a bit of boldness. We would like to recognize the courage and boldness of the "Original 13" - these are the local yarn shops that dove head-first into the idea of a new yarn tour. Their enthusiasm, eagerness, and willingness to help has made this journey possible.

Pattern Designers

We are very blessed to have two new patterns designed specifically for the 2023 Yarn Tour. Thank you to our designers and testers for your time, creativity, and efforts.

Knit Shawl

Although I had knit for over 40 years, in 2009 I became obsessive about knitting. When I became obsessive, I started designing, and there are not enough hours in the day to write up what I have designed and knit. I have my own Ravelry knit group, Heirloom Goods. I would love to see your knitted projects, knit from my designs.
