New Market

Appalachian Yarn Company is a unique, on-farm yarn shop located at Stewart Heritage Farm, specializing in high-quality alpaca fiber products. AYC offers yarn, roving, and fiber goods made from the farm’s own alpacas. Products may be 100% alpaca or thoughtfully blended with U.S.-grown or locally sourced wool. Offered in both natural and hand-dyed colors, each skein reflects the farm’s commitment to sustainability, craftsmanship, and quality.

What to expect

Tourists visiting Appalachian Yarn Company this year can expect an authentic, on-farm experience centered around our beloved alpacas—the heart of everything we do. They'll find a charming yarn shop offering small-batch alpaca roving, yarn, and finished goods, all made with care from fiber grown right here on Stewart Heritage Farm. We’re excited to share our full range of products, from luxuriously soft 100% alpaca to thoughtfully crafted natural fiber blends, available in soothing natural tones and vibrant hand-dyed colors. It’s a chance to connect with the land, the animals, and the fiber arts in a truly local and meaningful way.
