Smoky Mountain Spinnery started before it was actually "born" as Hickory ridge Farm in Western Tennessee - a small sheep farm with a big dream! We ended up showing the Champion Black Romney Ewe at Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival (MSWF) in 1996 which was a big deal for a small farm! From there the dream grew into an adventure, and in 2000 Smoky Mountain Spinnery was born. Now we are considered by some to be a "mini MSWF". Spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting rug hooking, felting and dyeing are all a part of the spirit of our shop. We want to help you along your adventure to become the fiber artist of your dreams. Visit Smoky Mountain Spinnery and find out for yourself!

Be sure and visit Miss Ruby while you are there!
