Meet Kimberly

ree

Kimberly has lived in Middle Tennessee for 8 years, settling in Burns, TN, where she enjoys life with Big Daddy (her spouse), her kitties, and her chickens. While she works in healthcare by day, she spends her free time knitting and travelling, usually at the same time.

Kimberly has been knitting for more than 40 years and really dug into technique and perfecting her craft about 15 years ago. Recently, she visited Ireland and fell in love with the craft of creating and dyeing yarn, and invested in a large knitting loom she can use to recreate the treasures from Ireland on our home soil.

Kimberly enjoys creating soft, flowy fabrics of vibrant and happy colors. Creating the Linen Helix Cowl pattern is a fun way to take the next step in her fiber journey.

Behind the Design: Linen Helix Cowl

First of all, I love a cowl! It keeps me warm; it's a way to accent my boring outfits, and they are fun and easy knits. Cowls are a great way to highlight and incorporate mini skeins and to make leftovers shine rather than languishing in your stash.

As a young adult, I would enjoy books that were written so you could "choose your own adventure" and that allowed you to make your time fun and exciting. At the end, my friends and I would all have had a different experience - yet all of them fun! I hope this will give use license to do the same with our knitting 😉

The Helix Linen Cowl is a way for me to nod to techniques that I love, enjoy some down time to produce something that is quite lovely. We are not going to work too hard. The cowl is an easy pattern and depending on your choices, you can turn up the heat or keep it mild. The choice is yours!

Keep up with Kimberly
