Helen is a knitwear designer and owner of The Selkie’s Skein, a small hand dyed yarn business inspired by fantasy, folklore and nature.
Much of her inspiration comes from the Scottish Highlands and its rich culture, as well as the beautiful Smoky Mountains she now calls home. She loves designing knitwear that is both whimsical and wearable.
Her newest design is 'Hemlock Henly', due for release in September 2026.
She loves cables, colorwork, and making wearable pieces. In a world full of fast fashion, she hopes to create yarn and patterns that will inspire you to slow down, make something with your hands, and bring a touch of creativity into your everyday life.
