Meet The Shops: Delta Fibre Arts by The Sewing House

Delta Fibre Arts grew from a lifelong love of fiber and a deep-rooted belief that making by hand matters. After building The Sewing House into two thriving stores, we felt called to create something more elevated — a space dedicated to luxury yarns, indie dyers, and the art of knitting and crochet.

What began as a bold next step has become a vibrant community of makers who value craftsmanship, creativity, and connection. As we stitch into 2026, we’re excited to expand our reach, deepen our community, and continue curating an exceptional fiber experience — honoring tradition while shaping what’s next.

Visitors can browse an extensive selection of yarn brands - Berroco, Camellia Fiber Company, Cascade Yarns, Ella Rae, Hedgehog Fibres, Ikigai Fiber, Isager, Juniper Moon, Malabrigo, Noro, Queensland, Rowan, Sweet Georgia… and kits from Appalachian Baby Design, Toft, Hardicraft, Ikigai, Malabrigo & more! Our notions include Twice Sheared Sheep, Lykke, Fox & Pine Stitches, ChiaoGoo, Addi, Clover, and other favorites. 

For customers who also love to sew, embroider, and quilt, we offer a wide array of quilting fabrics, kits, patterns, garment fabrics, notions, and sewing machines.

We bring together our creative community to knit and crochet tiny hats for NICU babies “graduating” and leaving for home. We also sew and quilt isolette covers for hospital incubators and work together on Quilts of Valor projects as an officially registered chapter of the nonprofit organization, QOVF.org.

Our talented team hosts all levels of classes for knitting, crocheting, sewing, and quilting! We also partner with the Dixon Gallery & Gardens for a recurring Open Studio Night (guests register to attend for free on the fourth Thursday of the month from 5:30-7:30 pm). Attendees bring their yarn or fabrics/machine and supplies - all media and methods are welcome as we gather to work on our projects together.
